Chinese Windows Phone 8 People Hub to integrate Sina Weibo, possible Tencent

The Chinese People Hub is pretty bare, consisting merely of a list of contacts, unlike the rich functionality in the People Hub elsewhere where Twitter and Facebook are not banned.

Now WPDang reports the Windows Phone 8 People Hub will be a lot more useful, integrating with Twitter analogue SIna Weibo, and possible the social network Tencent.

Sina Weibo currently has 300 million registered users and is a pretty popular service in China.

Tencent is just as popular.? The company runs China?s biggest online gaming network, social network and instant messaging platform.

The Tencent integration is apparently still under negotiation, and will hopefully come to fruition.

So far there is no replacement for the missing Xbox Hub functionality in China, and WPDang has no progress to report on that front.
