Patton Boggs has renewed its lease for an additional 15 years and plans to remodel its office in Washington's West End neighborhood.

The firm will remain in its current space of 206,000 square-feet at 2550 M Street N.W., which it has occupied since 1978. The re-designed floor plan will allow for additional offices with more available natural light. Additionally, the firm will update its technological systems during the renovation.

Frieder declined to disclose?financial?details of the lease, including the price per square foot the firm will be paying, but said that the agreement was a win for all parties involved. "This is a commitment by the firm not just to the District and the West End but to our people as well," he said. "We are here to stay."

"For more than three decades, 2550 M Street has been the home of the Patton Boggs Washington office," Edward Newberry, managing partner of Patton Boggs, said in a written statement. "We have a tremendous history in this building, and it is difficult to imagine our flagship office being anywhere else."
