Groupon Payments now available for Merchants Android app

Businesses with Google OS devices will now be able to accept card payments via mobile.

Groupon added its Groupon Payments feature ? Square-like card transactions ? to the Groupon Merchants iOS app back in September, but has now updated the Android app to offer the same function.

That means companies using Groupon's daily deals service will also be able to accept credit/debit cards via their Google OS-powered mobile devices, rather than purchase an iPhone to gain access to the platform.

Groupon claims Payments for Android can be activated within minutes, while the other features replicate those of iOS; a support team is available everyday, digital analytics and transaction history, ROI tracking, and more.
