The Art of Cool Project kicks off November with Professor Toon and The Real Laww for its next After Hours Concert. The rappers will be performing with a live band on Friday, November 2, 2012, at Flanders Gallery, 302 S. West Street, Raleigh, NC, after the 1st Friday events.

First Friday events at Flanders Gallery conclude at 9:00 PM and the Gallery will be transformed into a concert space for the show. Tickets are available in advance online at http://toonlawwaocp-efbevent.eventbrite.com/ for $12.00 and $15.00 at the door. The jam starts at 10 PM.

Be ready when Toon & Real Laww hit the stage. The duo brings a high-energy interactive performance no one can sit down for. Combining their hip-hop flavor along with a live band, topped off by booming tracks laid down by DJ Shazad, fans are going to be hyped. Anyone who saw them perform at Hopscotch this year will tell you not to miss this jam. These trendsetters guarantee to keep you moving to the beat the whole show.Toon is a record producer, song writer/musician from Baltimore, MD. He discovered his love for the stage while attending the Durham School of the Arts. He has made a name for himself in the Bull City with delivering his electro-pop, modern hip-hop style shows at every major music venue in the area, along with notable shows alongside Mike Posner, Big Sean and 2am Club. Dedicated to increasing the visibility of the local vibrant, varied and surprisingly under-appreciated jazz and live music scene, The Art of Cool Project is a unique collaboration between the jazz and art communities to bring both creative mediums to supporters in an intimate concert setting. The live jazz performances showcase and stimulate the forward-focused creative thought that is occurring on the local jazz scene. The Project also has additional goals of solidifying the Triangle as a metropolitan area with a world-class defined jazz culture by bring a Jazz Festival to Durham, as well as recognizing the need to keep jazz as part of America?s fabric by cultivating the genre in future generations.
