Now, granted, it?s not a bunch of Mortal Kombat cabinets or the like, mostly gambling machines. But still, that?s a lot of perfectly decent arcade hardware, going up in smoke. Ad most of them could have easily been retrofitted to play the games we all know and love.

Which therefore could have also been easily sold to a number of hopeful arcade operators in the US. Such a shame. Anyway, what?s the deal? According to Wired, they?re all confiscated and illegal gambling machines. Which simply ?had? to be destroyed. -Matt Hawkins
